For its 30th anniversary, Pol’and’Rock Festival has decided to use NativeWaves’ technology to share its 3-day live concerts with over 460k YouTube subscribers in UHD quality, through its Kreciola.TV channel Pol’and’Rock Festival, formerly known as Woodstock Poland, attracts over 750k visitors each year and is one of the biggest charity festivals globally. The festival’s motto is Love, Friendship & Music and is organized by The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity (Wielka Orkiestra Świątecznej Pomocy, WOSP) as a thank-you gesture to its volunteers who raise money for children each year. Over 30 bands with live performances were hosted on two stages for the 3-day festival and were streamed live to an international audience, sharing good vibes and live music.
It is a new use case for NativeWaves, the personalized event-watching expert, to use its technology for social media streaming.

NativeWaves’ multitask AVCoders were used as part of the live streaming technology setup prepared by DTS SA Poland, including two simultaneous streams in UHD quality.
“We are very pleased with the results of using our technology, which was developed to make better streaming. Our AVCoder can be used as a gateway and coder and – in this case – proved itself as a flexible encoder for social media streaming, such as YouTube, Facebook Live, and Twitch. It is a growing requirement to be able to stream to where the fans want to watch and participate remotely in live events,” says Christof Hauslauer, NativeWaves CEO and co-founder. “As a fan of rock music myself, I watched the live transmission during the three days of Pol’and’Rock Festival, very happy to see the fruits of our labor used to share the event globally.”
“Pol’and’Rock Festival is one of the most demanding live TV production projects. It has been hosted in the middle of the countryside with very limited internet infrastructure, high ambiguity, and quite often – unforeseen weather conditions. All this makes the project very challenging, and only the best solutions can handle it,” says Krzysztof Lubinski, DTS owner. “We have been a partner of Wielka Orkiestra Świątecznej Pomocy and Pol’and’Rock Festival for over 6 years now, responsible for all video streaming aspects, and this year we agreed with the WOSP technology department to go ahead with NativeWaves.”
